LEGAL
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Cwtch Care collects, uses, and protects personal information when you contact us or use our website.
Who we are
Cwtch Care provides private home care services across the Western Vale of Glamorgan.
Information we may collect
- Contact details — name, phone number, email address, and postcode (if provided).
- Enquiry details — the message you send and any information you choose to include.
- Technical data — basic information such as IP address, device/browser info, and security signals (e.g. where needed to protect the site).
How we use your information
- To respond to enquiries and discuss care needs.
- To arrange assessments and provide information about services.
- To keep our website secure and prevent abuse.
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations where applicable.
Lawful basis
We process personal information when it is necessary to respond to your request, take steps towards providing a service, meet our legal obligations, or for legitimate interests such as protecting our website from fraud and abuse.
Sharing your information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with trusted service providers who help us run the website and handle enquiries (for example, hosting, email delivery, and security), but only where necessary and with appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information only as long as needed to respond and follow up, and for record-keeping where appropriate. If you become a service user, retention will follow our regulated care record policies.
Job applicants
If you apply for a role with us, we collect the information you provide in the application form: your name, email address, phone number, postcode, whether you hold a full driving licence, your preferred hours and availability, your relevant qualifications and experience, and how you heard about the vacancy.
We use this only to assess your application, to contact you about it, and to arrange an interview where relevant. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in recruiting suitable staff.
Applications are sent to our recruitment inbox and are seen only by the people involved in hiring. We do not use them for marketing and we do not share them with third parties, other than the email providers that carry the message.
How long we keep applications. If your application is unsuccessful, we keep it for six months and then delete it, so that we can consider you for similar roles that come up in the meantime. If you would prefer us to delete it sooner, email us and we will. If you join us, your application becomes part of your employment record and is kept under our employment record policies.
Checks required for regulated care work — such as DBS checks, references and proof of your right to work — are carried out at offer stage, not when you apply. We do not ask for that information through the application form.
Your rights
Depending on your circumstances, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, and objection. To request anything, contact us using the details below.
