What you’ll earn

Your rate will depend on your experience and qualifications.

• £12.80–£13.80/hr Standard weekday rate
• £13.80–£14.80/hr Weekends
• +50p/hr After 7pm
• Up to £15.30/hr Weekend evenings
• £16.00–£17.75/hr Bank holidays
• £20.00–£21.20/hr Enhanced Christmas rates

What will you be doing?

You’ll support people to remain independent and continue living in their own homes. Every person is different, but your role may include:

• Personal care.
• Medication support.
• Preparing meals and drinks.
• Mobility support.
• Companionship.
• Helping with everyday tasks.
• Supporting people to maintain their routines.
• Encouraging independence and choice.
• Providing reassurance and practical support to clients and their families.

Some clients need significant support. Others simply need a helping hand to continue living the life they want at home. What matters most is that you see the person you’re supporting as a person, not simply the next call on a rota.

Never worked in care before?

That’s absolutely fine. Previous care experience is welcome, but we’re just as interested in finding people with the right attitude who want to learn. You’ll receive paid training, paid e-learning and paid shadowing to help you develop the knowledge and confidence you need.

One firm requirement: because of the rural communities we support, a full driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.

Build a career in care

If you want to progress, we want to help you do it. There are opportunities to work towards relevant Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications, develop your knowledge and experience, and progress into more senior positions within the company.

A Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent, such as NVQ Level 2), or working towards one, is welcome but not essential. Training is provided either way.
